Good day to you all :-)

Amazing news: the Hebrew version of the EUN Teachers' Newsletter reaches
2200 subscribers! It is available from:
http://netdays.org.il/eun/
in two versions - doc and rtf, we warmly thank our partner from Israel for
this extraordinary effort to disseminate our information bulletin.

This week, a special focus on two initiatives:

The EUN Virtual School has just very successfully been promoted at a
European ICT exhibition in Sweden. This unique group of 110 teachers
provides you all with contacts, projects and expertise in all subjects.
http://www.eun.org/menu/vs/

Netd@ys 2000 is a European Commission initiative to encourage educational,
cultural and other organisations to set up educational on-line projects.
The official launching of Netd@ys 2000 will take place in Paris on November
23 during the French Salon de l'Education. Netd@ys Week will take place
from November 20 to 27. Visit the site and join in!
http://www.netdays2000.org

And as we have all been following the American elections, I guess many
English teachers are working on this topic with their pupils. We have
selected a few sites to save you time and energy surfing for teaching
materials.

Enjoy this newsletter!
Brigitte

PS: We sympathise with all the colleagues who unfortunately suffered
through the terrible floods that recently affected Europe.

Join Europe, Special Needs Department

The main objective of the project is to make the children "translate" their
thoughts into digital documents, send them to the team who will publish the
entries on their website. The children who participate can win a digital
camera or software.
The contributions the coordinators hope to receive are: pictures; scanned
paintings and drawings, digital photos, recorded sounds and computer
graphics. They can also send texts that they write in their native tongue -
or in English if they can. The children's texts must always be accompanied
by an English translation done by the teacher.
The objective is to focus on every possible way of communication.

I found this site while surfing for resources and what a nice surprise!
It offers a series of clips of topics related to citizenship. Some clips

of French as a foreign language all over the world. The questions raised
