STORY Björn Brynjólfsson and Þóra were Ásgerður´s parents.  Björn kidnapped Þóra from Norway and married her in Hjaltland  (The Shetland Isles).  They went  to Iceland to Skalla-Grímur at Borg.  Ásgerður was born in the year 910,  the same year as  Egill was  born.  When Ásgerður was 5 or 6 years old her parents moved back to Norway.  When she was 17 years old  she went to Norway with Þórólfur and Egill so she could meet her parents.  At that time her mother was dead.  When Ásgerður was 25 years old she married Þórólfur but Egill was so jealous that  he didn´t go to the wedding.  Ásgerður was so pretty and such a good girl.

Ásgerður and Þórólfur had a daugther and her name was Þórdís.  To years later Þórólfur died in a war in England.

When Ásgerður was 29 years old she married Egill.  The situation was difficult for Egill because no girl liked  him.  His best friend Arinbjörn helped him.  Ásgerður and Egill moved back to Iceland in  the year of 939.  They had five children.  Ásgerður liked Þorsteinn most of all her kids but Egill did´t like him, he liked Böðvar most.

Ásgerður died in 974 (64 years old).  Egill then went to his fosterdaughter, Þórdís, and lived at her home for the rest of his life.
