THE TIME The legend was made out at the end of the XIX century  following the excavations to find a spring in 1861. The legend itself is set in no specific time.
THE PLACE In Naples, in the area  named  Santa Lucia
WHAT HAPPENED Once upon a time an ugly old witch lived in a cave near the sea. Because of her ugliness, the lady was persecuted by all the neighbourhood so she reacted  cursing awfully. As soon  as she did that, three terrible monsters came out of the sea and threw her in a well inside the grotto where she stayed for ever.
This lady had a daughter who was as ugly as her mother. She  and all the other generations lived in the same area.
