THE  FACTS  :  In Naples there is Volcano Vesuvius which has come out from the Mount Somma after a very big eruption long time ago. Mount soma is shorter than Vesuvius.
 
 
 
 

LEGEND  :  Vesuvius was a man in love with a lady from a very important Neapolitan family, named Capri, but her parents didn’t accept  love between Vesuvius and the young girl and so  they sent her to live in Cape Minerva. She couldn’t see her lover so she was always sad. Finally she decided to drop herself into the sea becoming an island, the nowadays Capri. Once Vesuvius knew about that, he started to sigh fire . Day after day  he turned into a mountain today called Vesuvius and with the ashes  of the fire Mount Somma was created. Vesuvius is just in front of Capri so the lovers can always see each other.
