Does Bjoergolfur suffer from mid- life crises?
It has been heard that Bjoergolfur has forced Hoegni to marry his daughter, Hildiridur, to him. As many of you may know, Bjoergolfur's wife is dead and Hildiridur is much younger than Bjoergolfur. She could even be his grand-daughter! It has also been heard that there will be no engagement and they will be married right awasy. Obviously, Bjoergolfur doesn't want to wait till he gets Hildiridur in a strictly legal marriage. Has he got the men's menopause?

Bardur Brynjolfsson is dying
An anonymous source has told us that Bardur is dying after the fight in Rogaland with the king. He got badly wounded and it doesn't seem like he is going to recover from his wounds. It seems that Bardur is going to bequeath Thorolfur Kveld-Ulfsson his farm and family but as many of you may know they are good friends and very close to each other.

Thorolfur seeking for power
Rumours say that Thorolfur Kveld-Ulfsson has tried to kill king Haraldur in a party which he held this summer. Thorolfur had gathered 500 men and they were 200 more than the king's men. They party was held in Thorolfur's barn but not in his own house, like he used to. The rumours say that Thorolfur was going to burn the king inside but he was unwilling to burn his house. Nothing happened because the king's men stayed armed all the time. Thorolfur tried very hard to find a way out of this and in the end
he decided to wait for a better chance and gave his ship to the king to keep him happy.

Hildiridur's sons betrade the king
Like many people know, king Haraldur has given the farm Torgar to Hildiridur's sons (their father once owned Torgar) and they have also become tax-collectors at Finnmoerk. Before them Thorolfur Kveld-Ulfsson was the king's tax-collector at Finnmoerk. Hildiridur's sons probably lied about Thorolfur to get their inheritance from their father because Thorolfur didn't want to give them any land or money. A few days ago we heard that Hildiridur's sons had brought much less tax from Finnmoerk than Thorolfur h
ad used to bring. They apologized by lying about Thorolfur. It's obvious that Hildiridur's sons do not like Thorolfur and they are going to deceive the king by taking his tax and benefit by it.

The escape from the country
Skalla-Grimur and Kveld-Ulfur have now moved to Iceland. They couldn't go without revenging Thorolfur, so they attacked a ship from the king and killed almost all the crew and passengers. They sure went berserk on the ship and people say that the battle-ground looked like a bomb had exploded there. They aren't the kindest people in the world because they murdered one ten and one twelve year old boy who were Guttormur's sons. (Guttormur was the foster-father of king Haraldur.) On the way to Iceland Kveld-Ulfur died because he was so tired after having gone berserk. Nothing has been heard from Skalla-Grimur, since he left Norway.
